Sorry, I've nothing to say about art, singing, theatre or music today. This blog is to document my artistic enquiry but it's also partly a personal journal. It's frustrating being slowed down so by tonsillitis which has now turned into a cold as well. The antibiotics haven't really helped yet and I'm waiting for a lab report which might recommend a more specific antibiotic. Plus with all the inactivity I've got sciatica. I've only just started mixing aromatherapy oils to help combat the likely bacterial as well as viral activity. I wonder why on earth I didn't get on with this ages ago? I'm sure I'm still waiting to be saved by someone or something half the time, like some child waiting for the caring mummy to begin the ministrations of Lucozade and comics till it all gets better. Part of being unwell probably interferes with synaptic activity, do you think?
Being temporarily disabled from my usual energy and activity has made me wonder how people with chronic pains, illness and disabilities get to perform or create works. Since I have been unwell my senses are dulled and I guess the content of the blog is dull too. Sorry about that. I'm trying to find some learning and value in it all but right now I'm just a bit under siege. Time to throw some fuel on the fire of my immune system and metaphorically burn this virus out.
I must adapt to this situation and take the opportunity of watching performance videos instead of the 'how to paint with oils' that I spent some of yesterday ogling.
