Decisions Re Upcoming Workshops

Second Theatre Improv Workshop

Seven of us met at the Hall for Cornwall yesterday and had a full and fascinating time with Adele.  In brief, we engaged with expanding our awareness of ourselves and our surrounds, explored proximal, distal and spatial movement and began devising.  It was a delight to see people enjoying the process, to watch the mini performances and to be part of the whole thing.  Thanks to Andy Mellors for coming along to take some photos of my activity and to the other participants for being cool about him being with us as they were in the shots too.  I videod the whole thing.  When the video is edited and if I've permission from the other women I may share a short snippet of video here.

Here's a link to some time lapse photography Andy put together of the student journey workshops we participated in earlier this year.  http://vimeo.com/25564235

Decision re 28th September's Theatre Improvisation Workshop

The group decided to meet next week (28th September) in Studio A at the Performance Centre, Tremough Campus, UCF and to revisit the work we've explored in the first two sessions with Adele.  I will facilitate and participate.  In addition we will begin exploring sound, singing and music improvisation.  Five of us have already decided we will meet for this workshop.  If you would like to join us please you let me know as soon as possible.  To confirm, the fee will remain £15 for four hours.

Vocal Production Workshop - 1st October 2011

The studio has been booked to allow us to begin our sessions with Pip.  Some people will have already attended the theatre improv workshop on 28th September.  I've asked those interested (email) in the project and already participating to tell me if they can make the 1st October workshop or if they would prefer to start on the following Saturday 8th October.

Additional Theatre Improvisation Workshop

Adele has said she would be available and happy to lead us in another workshop.  We just need to decide when we can fit this in.

Alexander Workshop

There is an opportunity to have a workshop with Annie Turner, an Alexander Teacher who has worked over many years with singers and actors.  As she plans her diary well in advance, we will need to decide whether we would like her to work with us.  The fee would be the same as for other workshops.  We would probably need to fit this in for early November.  Here's a link to Annie's website:-  http://openvoice.vpweb.co.uk/
